CMAC Tenets : What We Believe

 

• We believe the Bible to be the Inspired Word of God, suitable for training, correction, edification, and instruction

  (2 Timothy 3:16)

 

• We believe in the the deity of Jesus Christ as God’s only Son.

  (John 3:16 ; Philippians 2:5-11)

 

• We believe in the substitutionary work of Jesus Christ on the cross, and that He is the only means by which mankind
   can be restored to right relationship with God.  

   (John 3:16-17 ; Ephesians 2:8-9 ; I John 1:9)

 

• We believe that all of mankind is sinful, and is in need of salvation through faith in Christ.

  (Romans 3:10, 23 ; 1 John 1:7-10 ; John 3:16)

 

• We believe the work of salvation is a free gift of grace, and cannot be earned by good works.

  (Ephesians 2:8-9)

 

• We believe evangelism and discipleship are mandates of Scripture, and should be evident in the life of a believer.

  (Matthew 28:1819-20)

 

• We believe that we are to encourage one another, and mirror the life of Christ in our attitudes and actions.

  (Ephesians 4:23-32)

 

• We believe we are to love one another, as Christ as demonstrated His love to us.

  (John 13:34 )

 

• We believe forgiveness is a mandate, and is a lifestyle we as believers must live.

  (Matthew 6:12, 14-15)

 

• We believe in the return of Christ and the reality of heaven and hell.

  (John 14:1-3 ; Revelation 7:9-17 ; Revelation 20:11-15)

 

• We believe all of mankind will stand before God and be judged for their works in this life.

  (2 Corinthians 5:10)

 

• We believe the born-again Christian should live a life of holiness, and be separated from the things of the world
  that would hinder the believer’s spiritual life and witness before others.

  (I Corinthians 6:19-20; I Corinthians 10:23-33; 2 Corinthians 6:14-18; 1 Peter 1:16)

 

Organization

 

The Christian Martial Arts Council is a ministry endeavor of TNT Ministries, Inc.  Organized in June, 1986, TNT is registered with the Internal Revenue Service as a 501(c)3 non-profit ministry.  CMAC is an evangelistic/discipleship endeavor of TNT Ministries to help empower, encourage and inspire faith-based martial arts instructors, schools, and their students to openly incorporate their faith into their martial arts training, and to use the martial arts as a medium to both evangelize and disciple others.

There are many good Christian associations that have existed for a number of years, and have helped further the teaching of God’s word through the medium of the martial arts.  The Christian Martial Arts Council was created to take this concept to the next level, by providing a professional organization to the Faith-Based Martial Arts Community that provides the certification and ongoing support services Christian martial arts schools need to enhance credibility, expand ministry opportunities and network together so that we all can facilitate Christ’s admonition to fulfill the Great Commission (evangelism and discipleship) through the medium of the martial arts.

 

By presenting a united front to the martial arts community, CMAC members and schools can continue to teach their own style or system while focusing on teaching character-building skills that are consistent with our Christian faith.  As we share our resources one with another, we find new and innovative ways to evangelize the lost, disciple those within our martial arts schools, and raise up a Godly generation that can impact this world for Christ in a positive, powerful way.
